‘thank you’
Its really nice to have my patient’s mummy remember and sms me thank you, saying that i’ve helped them a lot :) awww.. received a sms from M’s mummy today(for the paeds posting @ kkh. ) ;_; dont think i was of much help but really glad they appreciate it! <3 cant wait for September and attend baby M’s 1 yr old birthday~ 8D
the feeling is so…. heartwarming.
its the last day of attachment @ SGH’s O&G ward, a few of us bought a box of chocolates for our dear lecturer who have guided us so so much 
we were too busy we forgot to make a card, but im sure our feelings of gratitude will reach her, more than just a box of chocs. 
shes so, so nice, always so encouraging, supportive & all. *w* Most of the lecturers I’ve met in Nursing are really wonderful, totally not like previous teachers i had. They are people i actually like, respect so much and look up to as a role model.
patient education is fun too. i had a lot of fun in the parentcraft room, teaching the new parents how to bathe their babies, and how to breastfeed and use the breast milk pump.

Pictures from Shimotsuma Monogatari screening (jun 21st)
Shimotsuma Monogatari first aired 4 years ago in 2004 ^^ However, Singapore theatres did not have that movie, so, Black Alice decided to rent The PictureHouse @ Cathay Cineplex and hosted the screening of every loli’s favourite movie on June 21st!

Was too tired to attend cosfest due to attachment, this is my first time missing cosfest ever since i started cosplaying in 2003 : ( as usual, it looked fun auuu. I always think cosfest is the best event of the year, neither EOY nor streetfest comes any where near. owells.

update of all sorts: paeds attachment, shana, et c
2 weeks @ kkh paeds just ended.. will miss the kids there very much (in case you cant see me, im next to the botak zul in the first row xD)

- my favourite baby M discharged on thursday.. *w* good for him.. i miss him! M’s mummy exchanged emails and phone numbers with me and invited me for his 1st birthday party this sep.. lol! definitely attending! M’s the cutest baby and such a good boy, always smiling so nicely! M’s mummy says he recognizes me cos he smiles whenever i go over! *w* gave M a hug and carry before he left aww M’s mummy was like, “dont kidnap him home ah” hahaha <3
- i will miss making milk and sterilizing bottles for the babies ahahhaa the milk room smells comforting <3 and requests from mothers, “nurse can i have Similac 150 mls pls”
- i got to bottle feed a 1 month old and a 8 month old infant.. it was a very happy “i feel motherly!” elating new experience for me. the 1 month old felt really fragile, while the 8 month old was really cute- he hugged me and felt like a soft bolster and grabbed objects like my nametag ^^
- paeds posting was okay, the ward routine was pretty slow-paced compared to my previous postings in general surg/med wards, but the kids definitely made up lots for it
- thankfully the kids in my ward were all good, brave kids. none of those screamy pesky waily kind
- seeing procedures the poor kids have to go through.. really… sigh. almost cried when i saw the changing of a PEG button for one of the “special” kids, but if the kid didn’t cry, all the more it’d be sillier if i cried…strong kid is strong
- i will miss playing, carrying, hugging, comforting the kids. Maybe I’ll volunteer for KKH.
- having a healthy baby is just more than enough thankful already.. there are quite many CP cases(special kids) in the ward.. and their very strong noble parents.. really, having a healthy baby is more than enough. no need for your kid to be super smart or anything….

following 2 weeks at gynae ward, followed by obstetrics. I’m excited about the obstetrics posting, i want to see a NVD(Normal Vagina Delivery) and get to bathe neonates.

- finally went down to la tendo with dear to collect the 1/8 shana candy bikini figurine by kotobukiya which i had pre-ordered for dear’s 23rd birthday in march.. i had opted for the home delivery option but la tendo totally forgot about my pre-order : < but in any case, dear is so happy LOL SHANA :<

Paediatrics
Day 2 @ Paeds ward

will be busy with paeds, obs & gynae clinical attachment for a month, so don’t think i’ll be updating much. Be adding Twitter to my site soon to update via my mobile phone during breaks!

Being in a paeds ward, comforting and playing with all the super cute babies and toddlers… its.. bringing.. out… my… maternal.. instinct! D; I kept wanting to carry and play with the babies. Me wantz Baby, liek nao!!1 Okay not exactly now but in the near future i guess, perhaps in 2-3 years time. Lets hope my mindset won’t change after witnessing childbirth(s) at my Obstetrics posting next. ^^;

There are some young mothers who are my age, or even younger than me, which got me thinking what if i were a young mum now. ..Man.
Some cases in the ward are really depressing, but i guess i won’t talk about it here. T_T Then again, in which discipline have i not seen sad cases? ;_; ah. Inevitable much..?

I hope i get to practise infant bathing and bottle feeding tomorrow! *w* Dear babies, please don’t cry, okay ;_; it would scare me so if i’m handling you and you start wailing! ;_; uwaaa you cute little things please get well soon

3d2n getaway to 2d bishounen paradise with Trisa~ XD
^Before going over to fetch my otaku classmate Trisa :3 (stop calling me curry! カレじゃない、かおりです！i need to think of a nickname for you! *brainstorms*)
Trisa came over to my place for a “3d2n getaway to 2d bishounen paradise” last week! since we’re currently having 2 weeks break before our clinical attachment starts next week :3
^I finally got to meet Trisa’s Rocky~!!! Hello Rocky~!!! *glomps* &LOL, plz be ignoring secondary school PE shorts!
Had a lot of fun playing with Rocky~! :3 i look so unglam laughing and showing my horrible vampire sharp fangs teeth, but nvm!
we then headed to pizza hut to eat~
saying that i eat a lot is obviously an understatement. oh lord wrrryyyy cant i be liek other girls and be moar concerned about my weight/refuse to eat or somethg >O I’m in shape, Round is a shape!

& there’s always room for cake~

But srsly we are very very in love with the warm choc cake and ice cream. the molten chocolate centre just oozes and melts into the mouth. and its so warm it kinda scalds the tongue but ice cream, the saving grace comes in!

3d2n getaway to 2d bishounen paradise itinerary includes manga, anime, moar manga, moar anime *coughs*, eating instant noodles for every meal for the next 3days, getting intoxicated on vanilla milk tea.
not-so-otaku activities included swimming and jacuzzi XD i had lotsa fun floating around(since i cant swim but love ze water) and KAME-HAME-HAAAAAA-ing trisa with a lot of splashes XDDD (which she gladly returned the favour too =_=!)
^Trisa, apparently extremely engrossed into the Manga she’s reading: zig zag
READING MANGA == SRS BIZNES. she was like a schizophrenic who would burst out into outrageous laughter all of a sudden and totally unaware of her surroundings XDDD
I was reading Vampire Knights, and this page made me scream like a fangirl and started shaking trisa next to me. OMG KANAME~!!!!!11112
